What is A Colonic?
- Also known as "colonic hydrotherapy" or "colon irrigation", colonic hydrotherapy is a gentle washing of the large intestine with purified water. It's a safe, effective method
for cleansing the colon of waste material by repeated, gentle flushing with approximately 15 to 35 gallons of filtered water from between 20 to 45 minutes. During this time, through
massage and pressure points, the colon therapist is able to work loose and eliminate far more toxins and waste than any other short-term technique.
What are the benefits of a Colonics?

Is it embarrassing to have a colonic?
- No, you will fully maintain your personal dignity. You will be in a private room with only your trained therapist, who fully appreciates the sensitivity of the colonic procedure and will
help you feel at ease. Your emotions will be acknowledged and honored. After the gentle insertion of a small tube into the rectum, you are completely covered. Rubber tubing carries clean
water in and waste out in a gravity pressured system. The mess and odor sometimes present during an enema simply does not exist with a colonic.
Is there anything I need to do to get ready for a colonic?
- Since your abdomen may be massaged it is a good idea to eat or drink lightly in the 2 hours immediately preceding a colonic. Also very helpful, but not essential; emptying the rectum with
a bowel movement just prior to the colonic saves time and permits more to be accomplished. No fasting or special measures are necessary prior to a first treatment but colon
and or whole body cleansing programs may be suggested between sessions.

What can I expect after my first colonic?
- Most likely, you'll feel great. Probably you'll feel lighter and enjoy a sense of well-being. Not infrequently, someone having their first colonic will remark that it was one of the most
wonderful experiences of their life. As soon as the colonic is finished you can carry on with daily routine. For some, the colonic may trigger several subsequent bowel movements for the
next few hours, but there won't be any uncontrollable urgency or discomfort. It's also possible you may feel light-headed or chilled for a few moments following a colonic because of the
detoxification process that occurs during a colonic, but it happens seldom and usually lasts only moments.

What is involved?
- Your visit to a colonic therapist will begin with the taking of your case history followed by an explanation of the procedure. The colonic itself will take between 20-45 minutes during
which time filtered water will be gently, repeatedly introduced into the colon via the rectum. Your therapist may use special massage techniques to stimulate the release of stored
matter. Your modesty is preserved at all times. Herbal and probiotic implants which may be Self Supplied by Client may be used and your therapist may advise beneficial dietary changes to
further enhance your treatment.
How many treatments are needed?
- This depends upon the individual case and advice will be given at the first consultation and after the first treatment. This may vary from only one treatment to a number spread out over a
period of time, after which preventative or maintenance treatments may be continued. Know that your colon is as long as you are tall and can expand to 5 times it's normal size so it
usually takes 6 to 10 colonics to get all the way around and get everything loosened up to remove it.
Is it Safe?
- Yes! The water is introduced at a low gravitational pressure, so there is no danger of bowel perforation. All equipment is (your choice) either disposable or disinfected using hospital
approved disinfecting methods and solutions, which kill all viruses, bacteria and fungi. Colonic hydrotherapy, unlike the use of laxatives, is not habit forming and actually improves the
tone of the colon. In addition, you are more likely to kill off the good flora in your intestines by eating meat laden with antibiotics than by receiving colonics.
What does a Colon Hydrotherapy Session cost?
Usually lasts anywhere from 25 to 50 minutes. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks and major
credit cards. Due to numerous no shows on new clients, we require an upfront payment of $45
to secure your first appointment. We will call to confirm your appointment. If we do not receive 24 hours notice of a cancellation you will be charged fully for the missed appointment. Due to our popularity, every appointment is valuable and we need adequate notice to fill your spot.
